Shipping Insurance Policy

We are proud to offer our own in-house shipping insurance to help you protect your purchase!

What does it cover:

Damages: Our shipping insurance protects against any and all damages incurred through the shipment process* (leaky bottles, broken glass, broken remote, damaged USB cable, damaged wall charger or USB hub, and non-functional bottle lights). 

Lost/Missing/Stolen Packages: We also cover lost and missing packages. For more information about the coverage of lost/missing packages, please read the “MORE INFORMATION ON COVERAGE OF LOST/MISSING/STOLEN PACKAGES” section.

Claims must be made within a week (7 days) of the posted delivery date as seen on the tracking information. 

SHIPPING INSURANCE IS NOT NEEDED TO PROTECT AGAINST DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS (A defective product is defined as a bottle light that shows no visible signs of damage but is not functioning properly, or at all. Examples: Bottle light(s) not turning on, remote(s) not changing color, mode, or brightness, or flickering light.)

*shipment process is defined as the length time the package is in custody of a postal service (USPS, UPS, FEDEX, or local postal agency). 

WHAT IT DOESN’T COVER: We do not cover damages caused by the customer (drops, scrapes, attempting to open the bottle, modifying the bottle light, etc).

HOW TO FILE A CLAIM: 

Filing a claim is simple. If your bottle light(s) arrived damaged or not at all, visit https://bottlelightco.com/pages/claims 

SETTLEMENT: 

Damages: Once approved, you can choose to have the broken bottle light(s) replaced or refunded. 

Lost/Missing/Stolen Packages: Once approved, your bottle light(s) will be reshipped to a corrected or new address free of charge. 

RETURN OF BROKEN MERCHANDISE: In some cases, we may request that you return the damaged or defective bottle light(s). Returning damaged or defective bottle lights is simple and return shipping is free. If a return is needed, we will provide you with additional information.


MORE INFORMATION ON COVERAGE OF LOST/MISSING/STOLEN PACKAGES:

Claims for lost/missing packages take longer to process and approve than claims for damages. In most cases, your claim will not be approved until the package is returned to us by the postal service.

Stolen Packages: Customers may only file a claim for a stolen package ONCE every 2 years. If a customer is filing a claim for a stolen package and has previously filed a claim for a stolen package within the last 2 years, it will be denied.

Question: When should I make a claim for a lost/missing package?

Answer: If the tracking information is marked as delivered but you have not received your package, message us immediately. If you have not received your package and the tracking information has not been updated in a few days, contact us.

Question: Do I need to buy shipping insurance for each item I purchase?

Answer: No, you only need to purchase shipping insurance once per order, not per item.
